Studium des Saxophon-Jazz an der Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Graz, bei Karlheinz Miklin, Don Mensa und Gerald Preinfalk. Abschluss Master of Arts, sowie zus\u00e4tzliches Studium an der Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Musik und darstellende Kunst, Wien, bei Wolfgang Puschnig. Ab 2004 au\u00dferdem Studium des klassischen s\u00fcdindischen Gesangs bei Dr. K. S. Subramanian und Usha Narasimhan am \u201eChennai Institute for Music of the World\u201c, Indien. Graduated with the MA in 2008. In addition he studied at the University of Performing Arts in Vienna with Wolfgang Puschnig from 2006 to 2008, and is since 2004 a student of the \u201cChennai Institute for Music of the World\u201d, Madras India.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2009 he finished his <strong>MMus in Ethnomusicology<\/strong> at the <strong>Goldsmiths University of London<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2015 he is head of the artist collective <strong>Jazzwerkstatt Graz,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0and since autumn 2018 he holds a position as a lecturer for Jazz Saxophone for music education course\u00a0at the <strong>University of Performing Arts Graz.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He leads his own bands\u00a0<strong><i>Tribal Dialects<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0(Varna, Jazz Festival 2015, Trieste Lives Jazz Festival 2017) and <strong>Tripod<\/strong>, <strong>Virtues<\/strong> in cooperation with Impulse Percussion, <strong>ATMA <\/strong>(India based Jazz Quartett)\u00a0and the <strong>DUO NAIMA<\/strong> together with the writer Fiston Mwanza Nasser and regularly works as a sideman with the\u00a0\u00a0<i>Jazztett Forum Graz<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Jazz Bigband Graz, Emiliano Sampaio Mereneu Project, Studio Dan Vienna,\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0the\u00a0<i>Berndt Luef Trio<\/i>\u00a0(Nicaragua Jazzfestival 2008),\u00a0<i>Neighbours and Friends<\/i>\u00a0(Ewald Oberleitner, Dieter Glawischnig), the\u00a0<i>Jazzwerkstatt Graz Posers Ensemble<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Reinhard Summerer Big Band<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick Dunst has performed and composed for \u00a0several theatreand TV productions at: <strong>Opening Ceremony Special Olympics Winter Games 2017<\/strong>, La Strada &amp; aXe (<strong>Street Opera: SEPPI<\/strong>.
